Reverend Ruth Vincent-Washington, is the Senior Pastor at The First Haitian Church of God where her parents Bishop Jean Vincent and Rev. Marie Vincent pastor. At a very early age, Pastor Ruth’s parents noticed the call of God on her life. Her ministry began at home with her siblings and then excel at working with the children at the church for many years.

Once the children’s ministry was established and grounded she moved to the youth department where she began to serve as a secretary and gradually moved up to Youth Leader and President. Pastor Ruth attended “The Bible Institute” where she completed her five-year program and received her diploma for ministry at the tender age of 15. Pastor Ruth continued to work tirelessly in the church while she pursued her education and earned her B.A in Education and certifications in various areas (youth development, peer mediation, anger management, etc).

Pastor Ruth is currently employed with the School District of Philadelphia as staff manager/supervisor and Central Region Liaison. Her dreams didn’t allow her love for God and ministry to die. She continued to sing, preach and teach while continuing her studies.  Through the Church of God, she successfully completed the programs recommended by the Church of God and obtained her ministerial credentials. As a wife, mother, dedicated daughter, and leader she strives to assist whomever she can, especially women and young people, reach their highest potential. 

In 2016 the mantle was passed and she is now the Senior Pastor of the First Haitian Church of God of Philadelphia.
